Contracts, Procurement & Logistics Consultant

Role:
| After design of the well by the senior drilling engineer, prepare a logistics strategy, implement and monitor all the bidding procedure, prepare advices on awards, procure, mobilize, implement and monitor all necessary equipment, material and services for the drilling of one offshore vertical wildcat with a sidetrack, whilst following MPRL E&P’s policies of goods and services procurement including transparent and fair bidding procedures, good industry practices and sound HSE standards. Water depth and TD to be determined by end June 2011, probably high pressure, with wet gas & condensate objectives. |
Key Responsibilities:

assist Drilling Team with technical evaluation of all important bids; |

participates in the commercial evaluation of all important bids in compliance with MPRL E&P’s procedures; |

organize procurement and mobilization of all material, transport, equipment and services in co-operation with service companies; |

co-ordinate critical/emergency supply situations occurring during the drilling operations; |
|
|
| » |
strive to maintain well costs within budget as concerns supply operations; |
|
|
| » |
check compliance with Master Service Agreements with service companies and equipment suppliers as regards supply issues; |
|
|
| » |
provides practical operational support to MPRL E&P’s day-to-day drilling procurement activities; |
|
|
| » |
ensures that all supply and transport operations adhere to the Well Operations Management System and Well Operations Management Plan, and all specific operational programs through audit; |

| » |
ensures that the drilling project is implemented according to industry recognized standards. |
Qualifications/Experience:
| » |
Preferably more than 10 years experience in the petroleum industry with experience in operations management; |

an understanding of drilling operations; |
|
|
| » |
previous Myanmar experience not a requisite but a preferred option; |
|
|
| » |
proven track record in remote locations and a knowledge of Asian culture; |

strong interpersonal, team player skills; |
